Friday – Loch Ness to Inverness

A drive around North Scotland.

Heading north from Inverness, I stopped at Lairg for a break, next to Little Loch Shin.
A seat near the Loch.
Heading North along the A838. One of the remotest roads in the country.
Loch Laxford on the costal road.
The causeway across the Kyle of Tongue.
Castle Varrich, overlooking the Kyle of Tongue.
A dragonfly had a rest on my car.
Heading south from the costal road, along the A836. This is Loch Craggie (nearest) and Lock Loyal behind it.
Up on the moors south of Loch Ness, I could see Lock Knockie.
If you ever drive down Loch Ness, try the road on the south side.

Wednesday – Loch Oich to Loch Ness

Loch Ness.

Back on Loch Ness.
Lunch stop on Loch Ness.

Then the sun came out and we had some wind. We sailed about 80% of Loch Ness.
Taking a break from sailing to allow the others to catch up.
