I’m building a San Jacinto (Touring SUP) from Jarvis boards.

The internal frame. I’ve had it pre-cut, as I’m not very accurate with my cutting.

The frame coming together.

I’m going to put in an access hatch for storage, so I need to put on the sides for it.

With the sides to the frame.

Loki investigates.

Blocks around the side, so I have something to screw the hatch on to.

Now to start adding the birch strips.

Spot the mistake.

With the top fully covered.

And after the extra has been cut off.

Hard at work smoothing the top.

Taking it off the table to turn it over. Loki looks impressed.

The dark wood strips look really nice.

Using Paulownia wood for the sides. The best way to hold them in place while the glue sets are pound shop luggage straps.

Pre-bending birch strips to run along the side over the Paulownia wood.

The nose will be solid wood, so I need to cut the end off.

The end, with the holes filled with fibre glass resin.

Now to fibreglass the bottom. The fibreglass covers the board and becomes transparent once the resin is added.

Fibreglassing the top. Before resin.

After resin.

With the fittings added.

The finished board.
